Maverick girls love their math!
With a name like "Ontario Hockey Academy", it's no surprise how much our students love the sport of hockey. But, would you guess that some of them love math? Well, it's true. Here's a photo of some of Mr. Lauzon's math students proudly wearing their math shirts. The shirts have equations the help them with homework and tests. And the text on the shirt is written upside-down so it's easy for the wearer to read. How smart is that?!?
Mavericks watch the pros
OHA's first school activity trip of the 2011/12 year was to the Ottawa Senator's vs NY Rangers game on November 9. The students had a wonderful time and really enjoyed cheering for both the Ottawa Senators and NY Rangers. The students were very well behaved and represented OHA will pride. We look forward to doing more activities like this in the future.

OHA Girls Maroon Score for Breast Cancer
With October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Ontario Hockey Academy Girls Maroon Team decided to Pink-the-Rink at their two tournaments in Assabet Valley and Rochester. The team donned pink laces in their jerseys, used pink tape for their sticks, and solicited pledges with a Cash per Goal campaign. The team was able to raise $275.00 for this very worthy cause. The team captains pictured above presenting the cheque to the Canadian Cancer Society on Pitt Street are (left to right) Mariah Krancevich, Kaitlyn Ryan, KaKa McComber, and Kayla Ford.
Congratulations to the entire team for their tremendous effort!
