We have made it through the first week of classes. So far, so good. All of the teachers reported that the kids were happy and enthusiastic. Miss J., however, reported that there was a little too much "enthusiasm" in her period 4 chemistry class.
This weekend there will be a couple changes in the class schedule (we added a civics section and moved some kids around). We are very committed to having excellent academics, and believe that small class sizes is an important part of this. The kids who are affected by this change will get new schedules on Monday.
These photos are from one of the popular times of the day, lunch! We see Coach Sean (black t-shirt) preparing himself a nice salad, and we certainly encourage the kids to do the same. We see chef Terry putting out more pizza (a favorite hockey player food). Kim (green t-shirt) is checking on everybody.
Yesterday, some of the kids went on a nice little trip to a local beach. This nice sunny weather will not last long. So it's a good idea to get some vitamin-D now.
Next week, I will make my way down to the ice to get some photosof the kids practicing. The coaches normally will not let me anywhere near the rinks. But, I have skates! Real hockey skates! They are right, though. It is best that I stick to the school stuff.
